Affiliate marketing is also a form of Internet marketing. However, when I say Internet marketing, I mean selling your own products or having your own online business.

You can start an online business to complement your offline business. In fact it has become a necessity these days to have your own online presence even if you are a small business. Having your own online presence can boost your profits sky high.

If you don't have any business and want to start your own online business, you can start one. My advice is before starting your own online business, you start as an affiliate marketer first. Internet marketing is a very vast field. You have to do a lot of market research before jumping into action. Market research can save you a lot of time and money. So time and money spent on market research is very important for your success.

Normally, you may start with a business in which you have a natural interest. Everyone has some passion - sports, recreation, games, gardening, photography, knitting, candle making, parties, golf, and so on. If the business involves your passion and interest, then naturally you will enjoy doing this and get paid for this. Later on, as you succed you can move on to different pastures to make a killing.

I don't recommend many of them particularly for beginners.For example, I shall never recommend MLM (multi level marketing) programs. Almost 98 percent of them are scams. There are a few reputed ones but you will have to work too hard at "getting people" to join under you even as a great majority of the people you already got start leaving you. They are not even based on natural business principles. Always make pros and cons of every move you want to make. Do you have the skills sets? If not, are you ready to learn new things? Then you any business.

Tips paid in cash, a cash equivalent, or a non-cash transaction are taxable income and are treated as wages subject to FICA, FUTA, and income tax.

Reporting Tips:

You should report tips to your employer on Form 4070, or by another method defined by your employer. All tips should be reported to your employer so your employer can report the correct amount of wages to the Social Security Administration.

Tips reported to your employer are reported in box 1 of Form W-2 and are subject to income tax withholding.

Tips should be reported monthly by the 10th day of the next month. For example you must report tips received in May to your employer by June 10.

If you do not report tips to your employer, you may be subject to a penalty equal to 50 percent of the social security and Medicare taxes that you owe on the unreported tips. The unreported tips must be reported on Form 4137 of your tax return.

Allocated Tips:

Allocated tips are tips assigned to you by your employer. These tips are in addition to the tips that you report to your employer. Your employer can allocated tips only if all the following are true:

• You worked in a restaurant, cocktail lounge, or similar business that must allocate tips to employees.
• The tips you reported to your employer were less than your share of 8 percent of food and drink sales.
• You did not participate in your employer's Attributed Tip Income Program.

Allocated tips are reported in box 8 of Form W-2 and are not subject to social security and Medicare tax withholding. You must fill out Form 4137, reporting the amount from box 8 on line 1.

3. Once the sale is made, they will send an email to mention about their website for future sales. Create a website for your products with a shopping cart. After you sell an item on eBay, send your buyer to your website. Buying directly from your website is profitable to you because you do not have to pay eBay fees. You can encourage the buyer to go your website by giving discount coupon and it will still work best for you because you are not paying any eBay fees.
5. Here's another great idea for backend sales on eBay. You can sell related digital information products (eBook) along with the main item. An eBook works best here because you can offer it for cheap as there is no extra cost for additional sales and also the buyer has the satisfaction of downloading it immediately after payment is made. You can create your own eBook or buy resell rights to one or sell an affiliate product. You cannot list any other product or link on your eBay auction listing but you can in your "About Me" page. Put the link to your "About Me" page in your auction listing. For example, you are selling golf items on eBay.
